BSB clothes for 38 years in the Greek fashion industry
The Greek brand BSB started its course some 38 years ago. Since then, it has established itself in the Greek fashion industry and is now expanding abroad.
The company began with Sofia and Vassilis Bitharas in the 80’s and the transition to the brothers George and Dimitra Bithara gradually took place. The contribution of the two to date has been particularly important, having managed to make their presence felt even abroad.
Giving for years their own battle against multinational mercenaries in the field of clothing and fashion, managed to remain timeless next to the modern woman. With 105 branded exclusive stores (BSB SHOPS) in Greece and abroad in 21 countries and with distinctions in the Greek business world, it is definitely one of the winners of the crisis.
How did it all started?
It all started when Vasilis Bitharas decided when he was still a teenager that he wanted to escape from the Greek province of the 60s and 70s and came to Athens to get his first job as a textile dealer. At a different time, much more difficult for a merchant, when there were not yet brand names and chains, he decided with a partner to open his first own store in Agios Nikolaos, Attica. And while it seemed that his courage had a positive impact and the first profits began to appear, Sofia appeared, a young girl with a strong dream: to become a top fashion designer!
As soon as Vasili’s experience mated with the passion of Sophia, BSB was born : B(asilis)S(ofia)Bitharas.
